Monkey Pools

This picturesque spot is located in a gated community of Mukamunya on the outskirts of Lusaka along Leopards Hill Road (directions are accessible using any reputable location apps). Monkey Pools, provides a great outdoor space where visitors can enjoy some tranquility yet still be close enough to the bustling metropolis.

Entrance to the facility costs K150 for adults, K75 for Teenagers and K25 for children under the age of 13, these fees include the use of the main swimming pool. This spot is prime for picnics, city escapes and several photo shoots courtesy of its well manicured lawns and dreamy series of clear pools which are fed by subtle streams and are surrounded by lush vegetation. Most people take a dip in these pools but doing so is at owners risk.

The Mukamunya Club deliberately does not allow music in the premises but they allow visitors to bring their own food and beverages with corkage per cooler box applied. Charcoal is also sold on site for K30 and braai stands are complimentary for those that would like to grill their meal. The facility has an indoor space with a small bar area but there isn’t much sold beyond pies, french fries and accompanying meats, with a lean selection of beverages. I highly recommend carrying all your own supplies. Monkey pools is a no brainer if you are looking for lush setting to just unplug without having to skip town.
