The Jacaranda at the Taj Pamodzi

The Jacaranda is the main restuarant at the Taj Pamodzi hotel in Lusaka. True to its roots, the Taj is largely influenced by the culture and aesthetic of the East and I enjoy their lounge space for cuppa coffee with cake and also for some meetings.

My friend and I went to try out their Sunday Special, which is the signature curry / butter chicken with unlimited naan after seeing the specials on social media. Sad to say that the dining experience left a bitterness in our taste buds and tummies, as the first few servings of naan were charred and the chicken was not far behind. The curry was neither well seasoned nor freshly prepared, it was mostly saved by the mango pickle and poppadom. The service also left more to be desired as the food and beverages were served at such odd intervals. There is definitely room for improvement from the team and I look forward to better foodie moments here.

My Review:

Service: 🔪🔪🔪

Ambiance: 🔪🔪🔪🔪
