Taste by Rootz is a brew bar located in the Olympia area of Lusaka which specialises in providing an assortment of tea and a great selection of baked treats. I like that the location is quiet and offers comfy indoor seating, beaming with artistic expression and ethnic vibes, plus, they also have an outdoor seating area that gives you the right dose of sunshine and the plants that go with it.
Taste serves freshly brewed hot and iced tea and they also have the same tea options packaged for sale for those that would prefer to enjoy the tea from the comforts of a different location. As for the baked treats, they normally have an assortment of cakes ready for sale and some specialised sweet treats on order. I normally enjoy their chocolate and carrot cake but I am hopeful that their menu will begin to offer more cake options beyond the traditional ones, for the curious taste buds like mine. I am always amused to see that they chose to keep their selection of tea china close to home, it always make me feel like I am back in the rural setting at my great-grandmothers home and she has just brewed a pot of tea just for me.

Taste has normally provided the right setting for me have a breather and cuppa Chai tea after a long day of work but its also been a great space to whip up some inspiration for the week on some Sunday mornings after attending church. This is also a great space for a date if your loved one has a sweet tooth and enjoys a quieter setting for deeper conversations.
