Friday is always a good day to grab a bite to eat out doors and I was in search of a new place to try out. I looked up restaurants near me on google maps and Mimosa Reloaded popped up. I didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by the chill vibe and the proximity to work. The premises house a decent conference space and functional spa for those that would be interested.
Located in Lusaka’s hotel district, right opposite the Taj Pamodzi hotel, Mimosa Reloaded had a menu with many quick bite options and a few stand outs for main meals. I ordered a grenadine cocktail with the Paprika Grilled T-bone which was to be served with pickled peppers and french fries.
Sadly, the cocktail did not do much to excite my taste buds as it was bland and bitter. My meal was not prepared as advertised, the steak was dry and overcooked but the vinaigrette used for the simple salad was pretty dope. The service was satisfactory enough to make me wanna go back and try the quick bites for breakfast or afternoon tea some time soon.
