Blu @ the Radisson

Two of my friends and I had other intentions when we visited the Radisson but because those plans fell through we decided to just grab a bite and see the autumn afternoon to it’s end at the Chuma Grill and Bar. Since the arrival of two chefs from Chile and Italy a couple of months back, the Chuma Grill has had a new lease of flavour.

The vibe in the Chuma was serene and dim lighting made it ideal for us to eat, talk and unwind. Their new menu and meals have gotten rave reviews from foodies in the Lusaka scene. After flipping through their menu, I appreciated that there was a variety of options that cater to traditional and contemporary taste buds and some eclectic outliers that grew on us.

My friends ordered the rump steak and shrimp pizza with a mousse for desert. We did not want to dive too deep as this was going be our second lunch of the day, our first lunch was just a bad decision, plus we love our food πŸ˜…. I got a little nibble of the steak which was so tender and juicy. I have not previously considered having sea food on dough, let alone enjoy it, but the prawn pizza actually tasted better than I thought it would taste.

I ordered the beef burger, which was quite crisp and fresh! The buns were toasted, which I think made this burger extra nxa! The beef patty was well seasoned and everything in between seemed carefully crafted in moderation for proper presentation and flavour. The relish served with the burger was a good compliment but I found that it was enjoyable in moderation.

Overall great food and great ambiance, I expected nothing less from the Rad!
