Gourmet on Fleek

Summer is in full swing and couldn’t think of better way to start the weekend after a Friday school run than to grab a bite at Gourmet in the east park food scene. While Gourmet is next to the trendy Marlin Steakhouse which is a crowd puller, it has managed to differentiate itself and still appeal to a niche market of burger lovers. The restaurant outlay is mildly minimalist and modern and provides such a great environment to dine by design.

Gourmet predominantly serves burgers, pizza, continental grill and seafood dishes but they also have some great breakfast options, bespoke bites for team sweet tooth and mocktails. My sis opted to order the gourminator burger with onion rings and a berry mojito. I ordered the gourmet royale burger with fries and a pitcher of sangria to cool off.

The burgers and accompaniments were well presented, fresh and especially delicious. My triple patty burger was well seasoned, crunchy but gooey and quite filling too, plus! the sangria just washed everything down so well. That gourmet royale is definitely one of the nicer burgers I’ve had on this side of the Limpopo 😜. Kudos to Gourmet for having their whole act together as the burgers, beverages and service were all on point. Keep up the great work!
