“It’s Friday and I’m ready to chew, Pick up my keys and hit the burger scene” 😄. Well, it was Friday in the summertime and visiting Burgerack just set me in the right mood to start the weekend. This spot shares a space with Food Fayre and they are located along the Great North road opposite Reprographics. I applaud Burgerack for uniquely differentiating itself from Food Fayre and adhering to the Burgerack franchise standards. The seating area is quite hip and artsy, it gave me such 90’s diner with a modern twist vibes, plus they have modified their seating to allow social distancing so people can dine-in between 11:00hrs to 21:00hrs on most days of the week.
Burgerack specialises in serving craft burgers, ribs, buffalo wings and waffles plus they serve an assortment of monster milkshakes. I kept things simple and ordered the Boss burger with a soda. The Boss burger has three beef patty’s, cheese, macon, tomatoes, dill, pickles and cheese sauce – I bet you could feel the kilo’s piling up by just reading that, at least I did. #GuiltForWho #CheatDay 😋
The Boss was prim and neat, down to the layering of their three ol’ beef patties and other ingredients. The burger was obviously filling and reminded me of the Twe Twe burger without the oozing juices. I had to eat the burger in two sittings as it was too large to even attempt to bite at once. This worked well as I was able to put some pepper on it. I felt like it was missing some seasoning, perhaps a loaded sauce to just compliment the other ingredients. Nevertheless, it was such a good burger, the macon and dill combination hit a home run so it was worth every penny and kilo gained 😁. I look forward to taking my youngin’s along on my next visit, perhaps I will order another boss?
