Cantina

I can safely call Cantina, Lusaka’s home for the best Mexican bites. Cantina revamped their menu last year and I had postponed my visit too many times not to go when I got a chance. Their menu has infused some tastes from the Far East and other South American staples, but overall we got more taco options and some essential Mexican treats in the street corn, carnitas nachos and guacamole.

I ordered the Korean BBQ pork taco, the Peruvian chicken taco and some angry fries. Yes, I consciously decided to over-indulge in some self care via foodie means as a reward after one hell of a week, don’t judge me, we both got something out of this 😜.

The Peruvian option just felt usual for me, I didn’t hate it but it just tasted like a regular chicken taco. The angry fries were dope! And the portion size was healthy enough to even take some away. However, the Korean BBQ taco was definitely the winner in this plethora of food. It just infused the west and east so well. Chewing it was effortless, it was over before I even knew it! 🙈

I’m guessing you can tell I love my Mexican food. Anyway, all is still well and in order my fellow foodies, Cantina delivered a great bite with no flavours left unturned. If this blog post has anything to do with it, I’m pretty sure cheat day may be a cheat month for some people I know 😝.
