Located in the Ibex area of Lusaka, I visited Braai Boss recently and while I did not stay long because of public health guidelines, I got to have a short conversation with the young owner and his team as I experienced how they craft their food. I liked the rustic and easy going outdoor seating with its laissez faire atmosphere where you could just grab a drink and quick bite to eat while your car gets a good wash. The Braai Boss menu is fairly simple and has a number of sharing options so it is a good place for a late Friday afternoon or Saturday mid morning stop as you get your car and stomach ready for the weekend. I should caution that the seating area is prone to occasional disturbance from the elements.

I ordered the burger and a portion of brisket and it all cost me less than ZMK 80. When I got my order, I understood why the price was so friendly, the portion size is just big enough to get you wanting more. The brisket was well seasoned and tender the burger while were oozing with juice. Overall Braii Boss have a good thing going and while they may be rough around the edges, they sure bring all the pips to the yard and weβre like, itβs better than most.
